How to use Nano Banana Pro to make ad creative
4 cool use cases that I’ve seen in the last couple of weeks
Hey guys,
Nano Banana Pro dropped a few weeks ago and the internet has been going crazy over it.
Beyond all the viral posts and random experiments, I've been tracking the use cases that are actually beneficial for us creatives making ads.
So today I'm sharing 4 ways people are using it that can improve your creative process.
But first, here's what I've found interesting this week:
Bloom launched their on-brand AI asset generator which looks wild
Kling dropped a new video model (Kling o1), and it’s live on Higgsfield
Krea dropped a feature allowing you to add context to Nano Banana generations
Here’s my favourite ad that I’ve seen this week:
I have seen a lot of apology ads perform well recently, especially ones tied to Black Friday offers. This is an ad from Bubish that I'd recommend trying if you're still running holiday sales in the lead up to Christmas.

4 of the best use cases I’ve seen for Nano Banana
1. Writing text directly on bodies
Anyone who has read these newsletters before knows that I am a huge proponent of writing text in visually relevant ways to your audience, especially writing text on bodies. You can write messages directly on skin, clothing, or any surface and it looks completely realistic.
2. Ugly image generation
This is just insane to see. You can truly make ugly image ads that are indistinguishable from real images with Nano Banana Pro.
3. Product variations at scale
This is great for generating variations that look different from each other. Take one winning product shot and create dozens of color/style variations in minutes.
4. Perfect lifestyle photos
My friend JB shared this prompt to use Gemini to create the perfect Nano Banana prompt. I’ve been using it, and it works pretty well.
Some outputs are so realistic that it’s difficult to tell whether you’re looking at AI content or real photos and you can do it all in seconds with simple prompting.
Right now, it’s available through Google AI Studio, I’d really recommend playing around with it if you haven’t already.
Hit reply and show me what you've made :)
